Quote Of The Week
And we're still so young;
Desperate for attention.

So today in Geometry, we were doing proportions....Which I really love....because they are really easy...anyways! So she wanted different strategies of how to solve proportions (finding what x is), and Mrs. Barson did not want the cross multiplying strategy. So I raised my hand, and went up and showed everybody a different strategy. It involved cross-multiplying and then doing a very, VERY simple algebra solving afterwards. Mrs. Barson then continued to tell me I was doing exactly what she said not to do, and said that mine was very complicated and that no one would get it. But what doesn't make sense is that as I finished showing everyone the strategy, I heard a chorus of people saying things like, "Oh! I finally get it!" or "Now that makes sense!" and "That's a much easier way to do it!" But apparently Mrs. Barson does not agree. So I was basically her dunce of the day. So every time some one else showed their strategy, she would relate to how mine wouldn't work and that you shouldn't do mine, because you would just get confused. EVERY TIME!!! She was basically saying, "Brett's pretty much stupid, so don't do it his way!!!" And Drew Renshaw showed the best and shortest strategy in the class, and he received no credit for it. Poor Drew...He didn't get credit while I was. But then again, mine was "pretty much, you're stupid" credit. I was getting pretty irritated. So now officially, I don't really like Mrs. Barson.

That is very sad to hear and quite depressing in a somewhat morbidly comical sort of way. Good job Brett!
